Now Available: Booties!!! |
 | Background & Experience:
 | My dog sledding background encompasses over 15 years
of experience; from being self-taught-to being taught by
the "pros". I have raced everything from 4-dog
recreational class races to a 500 + mile trip with my
team. I have experience purchasing the perfect dog to
fit my team, ranging from buying a dog from a
recreational musher to buying multiple dogs from a
champion Iditarod kennel. I also have training as a Vet
Technician, which gives me a unique understanding of a
racing dog's metabolism, physical health, and
physiological well-being. |

 | Mentoring:
 | If dog mushing intrigues you
and you would like to learn the "ins" and "outs" without
all the headaches, I am available to help you get
started in the right direction. Mentoring starts with
the basics.
My Basic Instruction includes: what equipment is
needed for you to get started and how to use it
properly; how to set up a proper kennel with housing for
your team; how to train your dogs; what diet to feed
your dogs; and how to properly raise and care for your
team.
Basic Instruction price per hour: $25.00
I also give Advanced Instruction on: the best
ways to train a lead dog; the best training schedule;
how to get the most out of your training; and how to buy
a good sled dog from a $5,000 leader down to a new pup.
I will also cover any other specific needs you have and
goals you want to accomplish.
Advanced Instruction price per hour: $45.00 |

demonstrations from a single class size to the entire
school. A demo consists of: a lecture of how the dogs
are raised and taken care of; racing and training;
personal experiences with my dogs; hands on display of
equipment; and how each item works; as well as a
question and answer period.
Demo months are from October through the first week in
April. Demographic areas covered: Albany, Rensselaer,
Warren and Washington Counties, and the Rutland area of
Vermont.
The price will vary depending on the length of the demo,
the number of people, and location of your school.
Prices start at $125 |
